While David has spent much of his career as a professional pipe maker successfully turning popular shapes on their head, and sometimes even inside out, he has never lost touch with the classics that inspired him to begin with. This Danish styled lovat is just such a creation, showcasing the grounded nature of David's sculpting ability with a touch of modern variation his fresh eyes bring to the tried and true lines of a long, round shanked smoker. Incredibly detailed in the ringed blast, the finish presents in multi-tones of rusty hues, being both light and dark at the same time. Smooth along the rounded rim and with so much shank, a short saddle of understated punctuation balances the absurdly comfortable stem. Deeply chambered with a conical geometry, as impressive as the pipe looks, it will all disappear once this powerfully competent smoker is lit and only the dry, sweet smoke remains.
