Typically we are not interested in purchasing pipes that have cracked bowls, missing or broken stems, or previously smoked corn cobs.

Blue Room Briars will only evaluate pipes in person.  Pictures are great, but it is necessary to inspect each piece in hand before any offer is made.

Once your pipes arrive we will contact you to let you know your pipes are in our possession.  Then they will be carefully unpacked, inspected, and evaluated individually based on demand, condition, and dealer status. Most evaluations are completed within a week however please allow 30 days to receive an offer. Once we have determined the value of your collection you will be contacted with two offers, one for outright purchase the other for trade credit. Blue Room Briars’ estate pipe evaluations are extremely competitive in the industry.

We offer 40-55% for cash and 50%-70% for trade of our estimated MSRP minus the restoration and labor costs necessary to bring the pipe to market. Items affecting the pipe’s value include condition, collectability, original MSRP, and current market trends. Our evaluation experts have years of experience to make sure you get a fair value for your pipes. Offers are good for 48 hours after they are made.

If, for whatever reason, you do not wish to accept our offer, we will ship the pipes back to you, packed carefully, at our cost - just to say thank you for showing them to us!

Estate Pipe Checklist

• Select the pipes you wish us to consider for purchase or trade.
• Pack each pipe individually wrapped and placed in a sturdy box so they don't rub together and have ample padding for handling.
• Inside the box, please include your contact information - name, address, phone number, and email address
