Details
Tightly bound with growth rings stacked one on top of the other all the way around the curved and round bottomed volacon bowl, this handmade from David Huber isn't completely black but has a faint undertone of deep burgundy peeking out, especially in direct sunlight. Finished smooth at both the rim and the shank's face where brass is revealed to reinforce the mortise, this seahorse of briar and stem is bent enough to offset the thick walls and holds a very deep chamber narrow enough to get a virginia or shag cut to burn for hours at a time.
