Straight grain wraps all the way around the single bided bowl while both rim, shank, and the entire underside of the stummel is framed with dense birdseye on this smooth Eskimo from South Africa (where Eskimos are quite rare indeed). Finished smooth in a contrast of light and dark grain, this tapered and wide shanked bombshell of briar has a pinched saddle and a chamber just deeper than it is wide. As functional a smoker as the curves are lovely to look at, this handmade is, like all of Charl's work, exceptionally well drilled and sturdy for a generational pipe worthy of any favorite blend.
