Gorgeously grained with a contrast smooth finish, this handmade from Danish carver Erik Nielsen earned his Grade A stamping. The tall bowl provides a large canvas to showcase the sweep of flame grain from the bottom front wrapping all the way to the top of the back leaving a broad rim of tight birdseye. The slightly flared shank has a horn ferrule extension and an offset saddle stem keeping the deep chambered bowl balanced and under bent enough to make an outstanding clencher despite its thick walled heft.
