Greek pipemaker, Yorgos Mitakidis, has already proven he can handle the nuanced shapes that the neo-Danish style has given life to in the modern pipe making era with balance, curve, and swell. But what sets are heart to beat a little faster is his uncompromising take on the older styles like this English straight and tapered apple, or prince given the bowl's cant. Finished in a sandblast that has a dark coloring with just a hint of rusty red peeking through, which the pictures don't do justice, this lightweight clencher isn't deep enough for much more than an hour's worth at a slow pace, but the diameter is just wide enough to take an English and not so big as to refuse a straight Virginia.
