Deep in the chamber and fully bent in the shank, this Royal Egg from Nate King is indeed a functional reverse calabash smoker. There is a large chamber that has been polished smooth in the shank that extends through a wide tenon into the stem, that serves as a cooling and drying reservoir for the smoke, one mouthful at a time. Guaranteed to smoke wonderfully well, no matter what the tobacco, this well blasted egg has a smooth and rounded rim, and the whole piece is punctuated by a ring of old school, marbled white bakelite.
