Details
Crossing over from long shank into churchwarden territory, this "Scottie" from Our Lady of Briar, Scottie Piersel, is arguably one of the longest specimens made intentionally made to be a great smoker in the long running series from the American pipe maker out of Kansas City, Missouri. Don't let the lengthy vessel fool you into thinking it delicate, it is not. Though visually striking for being minimal in its girth, this long shanked beauty has been thoroughly reinforced and is in fact much stronger than normal definitions for a briar. Smooth and rounded at the breathtaking rim of birdseye, this slightly conical chamber is well engineered to handle any genre of tobacco, even a straight virginia. Fitted with a green ebonite stem and a featuring a high-contrast sandblast finish of straight grain and growth rings, this head turner isn't recommended for clenching through long walks, but for a smooth, sweet, dry smoke there is no better.
