Details
Beautifully finished with both light and dark tones mixed with rusty hues to capture the growth rings and straight grain of the briar oriented to the bowl's shape, this "Scottie" pipe from American carver, Scottie Piersel, has a particularly lengthy shank adorned with ivorite and holding a canted egg shaped bowl topped with the outer edge of the burl's plateau. The inner rim is beveled into the large chamber and finished smooth in a lighter tone to be prominently displayed. The crown saddle stem is a limited edition brindle with blues, yellow, green, red, and salmon tones all swirled around each other. Reinforced through the entire shank with a steel tube, this lengthy smoker may look delicate but is in fact very sturdy and built to last many lifetimes of smooth drawing satisfaction.
