Sandblasted to reveal the complex patterns in the wood that can only be achieved when working with bog oak, or commonly referred to as morta, this stummel was a live growing oak tree back when they were just starting to build monolithic structures. Time and semi-petrification has led to this remarkably sturdy, interesting, and excellent medium for smoking tobacco - imparting a subtle but earthy quality to the smoke's flavor. Stemmed with blue acrylic as if capturing the a sky of wispy clouds on a sunny afternoon, Ron has also added a trim of gold marble acrylic to balance out against the thick stummel.
