Dr. Bob Pipe (P) Carved Blast Apple with Acrylic and Brindle

At less than six inches long, this straight tapered apple is on the smaller side of the scale in comparison to the hefty briars that usually come out of American carver, Dr. Bob's workshop.  Still, the visual heft is apparent in the thickly walled bowl topped with a smooth polished rim, and the taper is classically formed from the transition all the way down to the well articulated and comfortable button.  Finished in a sandblast after painstakingly carving out the mellifluous growth rings wrapped around the entirety of the stummel and then colored to look like the warm tones of a setting sun, this clenchable apple was then given a brindle stem of orange brindle to echo the tone.  Divided by a small band of very light grey, this striking smoker is sure to turn heads, but more importantly, it will be a joy to smoke.
