This is not your father's pipe! While its design is almost mind bending, its use is extraordinary. I prefer to think of all underbent pipes as hammock pipes due, in no small part, to the fact I have access to a hammock out back under a tall shade tree. Many bowls have been smoked in that spot while enjoying both the cool breeze and rich flavors that must be smoked outdoors due to certain social restrictions. A classic shaped pipe never fails to disappoint when smoked by a clencher while in a reclined position. This shortened wonder solves two very frustrating problems: The underbent bowl won't dump ashes back into the smoker's eyes when reclined, and the shorter pipe, with a lower center of gravity, is significantly easier to keep working while in that particular relaxed position. Deep blasting and a rough hewn adornment of mahogany matched to a stem made of the finest German ebonite, the craftsmanship is nothing short of spectacular. With deep red tones and a soft bend, this bit of bent tube is easy to show off and marvelous to hold...whatever position you choose to relax in.
