Sandblasted and finished in a deep and dark ruddy red, this Frasorteret handmade freehand from Denmark is all bowl, keeping the briar only to the part of the pipe that matters most for its inherent tobacco burning qualities. The shank and fancy Danish stem are made of ebonite and add a good bit of character to the very functional and thick walled bowl. There is some darkening around the rim but the sandblast is distinct and the wide, deep chamber an excellent tool for the tasting of broad leaf blends native to England or a Danish aromatic.
