When this older Stanwell arrived into our care, we almost passed it over due to a cracked button that ran down the original stem. However, there is something about these older Danish production pipes that rival any factory made smokers so we did the stem replacement ourselves. The style isn't exactly original but the new stem has a flattened bite making this already lightweight smoker an even more comfortable clencher. The tall and conical chamber is well suited for a favorite Virginia and will even be a boon for shag cuts. There is some minor darkening at the rim though this handmade smoker is still in great shape.
