Walt Cannoy, the mastermind behind Cardinal House pipes, is something akin to a wizard. Somehow, he manages to conjure new and magical ways to create pipes outside of the usual box. This bent Rhodesian is no exception. Somehow, Walt has managed to create a pencil (actually thinner than that) style shank that is visually bent. How this drilling was achieved we can only speculate, but the visual effect is jarring and delightful. The shank is rusticated with a sharp, small grained texture and it juxtaposes impressively with the well-grained Rhodesian top above the double bead. The tenon is a reverse style in stainless steel onto which the hand-cut brindle stem fits tightly but buttery smooth. And to top that all off, the draw is smooth and wide open. In near mint condition, there is some light darkening, but this pipe also comes with it's original sleeve.
