The Savinelli Capri line is known for its delightful rusticated pattern. This finish is difficult to produce and is only mastered by a few talented craftsmen. The final result is a delightful combination of tactile interest and a unique weathered look. This example is in tan, which is a rare combination in Savinelli's portfolio, making up only a small percentage of production. This estate pipe is in good condition, but the stem was broken and replaced at some point. A nickel band was added for stability. We can't detect a crack in the shank, but even if one is there, it shouldn't be a problem with this addition. The rim is a bit darkened and the overall finish has taken on a patina of extensive use. With all this noted, this solid sitter still has decades of service left to provide.
