Details
Spectacularly pale and natural, this long shanked, man sized, plateau kissed, and softly bent freehand from Tom is one of the lightest finishes we've seen from an artist who enjoys the finish as much as we do. Grand and gratifying straight flame grains engulfs the whole of the stummel with a tight birdseye perfectly oriented to the meeting of the chin and heel under the stummel. Tom took the piece a step farther with the addition of a ferrule for the stem made from a darker toned zebrawood. Wonderfully detailed, this bevelled beauty will darken over time with regular smoking, but will always be readily received by the next generation of pipers.
