Details
Endowed with a sweeping undercurrent of poise and motion, this plateaued dublin may be as fine a pipe a true smoker will ever see. The perfect bevel of channelled smooth briar feeds into a 3/4" chamber, heaven for a virginia lover. An insert of French Boxwood in the stem pulls the eye even farther - stretching the long shank in perspective against the cleanest and brightest wood adornment. Subtle red and yellow tones are present and echo back and forth against the stem and shank, and with a half saddle, this eminently smokable and densley grained piece of muscular American aesthetic still maintains a very manageable weight. Once again, Thomas has one upped himself by using a delrin sleeve inside the mortise to maintain a perfect fit for generations of constant use, even when occasional carelessness ensues while being removed or assembled. And as if all that wasn't enough, this smartly tailored puffer comes with a briar stand, suitable for any pipe to find an oasis until called into service.
