Thomas James Pipe Carved Hawkbill with Cumberland Ring
Item # TJ194419Sold Out
Details
While this shape has been around for awhile, enduring many interpretations, a true hawkbill has a stem/shank facing perfectly perpendicular to the rim of the bowl. Difficult to do well, this specimen, from Thomas James, is so dead on perfect, we suspect he used a laser, ruler, compass, and protractor to get it just right. Seated with a half saddle stem to keep the top curve consistent, this cumberland adorned piece is an impressive marvel of engineering. It will easily pass a cleaner and, like every other T. James pipe, the draw is perfect.
