Joe Hinkle Pipe Sandblast Poker with Bamboo

With a tall chamber and bowl, just narrow enough for a virginia and thick enough in the walls to remain cool to the touch throughout the smoke, this sitting and bamboo shank poker is quite sturdy when set down.  Joe's use of two knuckles and the panel treatment of the flared saddle are all well done and the detailed blast is both distinct and tonal, from dark chocolate to rusty auburn.  As with all of Joe's work, the draw here is phenomenal and full of promise for soothing smokes with minimal need to doctor the tobacco once it has been lit.
