Erik Nielsen Pipe Grade B Contrast Bent Egg with Horn Ferrule

Trimmed with buffalo horn and finished in honeyed tones of chocolate and dark liquor, this smooth contrast bent egg from Danish carver, Erik Nielsen, is just shy of making his A grade.  There are some very, very small flaws in the finish but who can deny they breathtaking charm of this dark and sophisticated bent briar?  Not overly deep in the cylindrical chamber, and coated inside the bowl so no break-in period is required, the width however is substantial and will be a joy to pair with large cut leaf and strong English blends, though a tongue friendly aromatic will be a blessing here as well.
