Details
This Prominence by Ben Wade bent apple estate pipe is a bit unlike the usual fare from the Danish brand. While most of these Prominence pipes, and Ben Wades in general, are elaborate freehands, this example is much more reminiscent of the typical canon of shapes. Distinctly Danish, despite more traditional shaping cues, this pipe has really nice grain, especially on the driver's side, and a soft, supple feel in the hand. It's bit too large to clench comfortably, but the thin stem set into the ebonite ferrule is comfortable on the teeth. In good condition, this pipe does have some minor darkening and handling marks and the nomenclature is a bit worn from decades of buffing.
