Details
Jorgen Larsen may be the lesser known "Larsen" in the pipe world, but his career is no less impressive. Working for Stanwell and later Stokkebye, Larsen also carved pipes under his own name. A stickler for detail, reports are that a significant amount of his pipes wound up in his fireplace if he was unsatisfied with his work. This heavily bend tomato departs from the classic aesthetic by incorporating a diamond shank and a saddle stem. The best detail, though, is the grain. Dense, tightly packed and fill free, the grain is absolutely stunning. We see a lot of pipes pass through our doors and this grain is in the top 5% in terms of looks. The chamber is large, and while this is a hefty pipe, the extra space is a perfect canvas for the magnificent figuring. In excellent condition, this estate pipe is ready to be the next jewel in your collection.
