C. Martin Pipe by Chris Mattioda Bent Sandblast Acorn with Dark Bamboo and Plateau

Given the natural colors present after harvesting, we are surprised that most bamboo in pipe construction is the lighter variety as opposed to this handmade from American pipemaker, Chris Martin, that features the dark, or black, variety.  The details of the knuckles are almost highlighted while the shank in between is a deep, dark brown matching some of the tones in the sandblasted bowl.  Topped with plateau, the deep chamber is conical in design and has a draft hole dead center at the very bottom.  Passing a pipe cleaner with ease, this bent and refined handmade is a boon for any aromatic or burley based blend with a consistent draw and flavor producing smoke from start to finish.
