Details
Oriented with straight grain around most of the wide, apple shaped chamber, this James Upshall estate pipe has a tight swath of birdseye across the rim and the entire underside of the stummel. Banded with sterling silver and fitted with a crisp saddle stem, this English handmade is a beautiful specimen of smoking enjoyment. There is some rim darkening and a few very minor handling marks in addition to the addition of a sodium silicate bowl coat to cover some minor char on the bottom of the enormous chamber, but this palm friendly and thick walled straight smoking briar is still in outstanding condition with a phenomenal draw and includes its original sleeve.
