Todd Johnson Pipe Bamboo Shank Tomato with Bocote

Sleek and low in its profile, this canted tomato from American carver, Todd Johnson, is finished smooth in a high-contrast wheat and honeyed brown tones sett with a five knuckle bamboo shank.  The bowl's grain is in a straight orientation to the chamber, but aside from a thin band wrapping around the widest portion, is a showcase of beautiful birdseye.  There is a ring of bocote wood, oblong from top to bottom to match the exact shape of the bamboo, at the stem's transition but Todd needed no spacer, or additional trim to get in the way, where the bamboo meets the shank.  Delightfully lightweight, this gorgeous and stunning clencher features a conical chamber and in addition to being a world-class looker, will smoke any favorite tobacco with flavorful results.
