Details
Sean Reum and, to the best of our knowledge, Chris Morgan are the only professional pipe makers to utilize this particular technique called the Satin finish. It presents as a cross between a sandblast and a driftwood finish. Aside from the cloth like texture of the pipe it also allows the fingertips to actually feel the grain and is quite spectacular when combined with a high-contrast of briar grain as seen here. The shape is one of Sean's favorites and while sometimes the bowls are wider, we are quite taken with this compact version and the sensual curves that flow from the pitcher tip of the bowl all the way to the subtle bend of the ebonite stem. A sweet-spot sized and cylindrical chamber is a sure bet for a consistent draw on any genre of favorite tobacco.
