Randy Wiley 55 Bent Spot Carved Freehand with Wood Burl and Plateau Estate Pipe

A good handful and under bent just enough to make a comfortable clencher despite its size and weight, this American handmade freehand estate pipe from Randy Wiley features a twisted shank that is asymmetrical and a corkscrewed saddle stem of acrylic.  A wood burl was used at the end of the shank to extend the effect and makes a lovely, natural ferrule to house the mortise and hold the tenon secure.  Covered across the broad rim of the thick walled bowl is the tight pattern of the plateau and inside is a marvelously deep and conical chamber.  There is some darkening at the rim and bowl coat has been added to the chamber to ensure the discovered charring doesn't lead to any issues in the future.  In outstanding condition this Randy Wiley bent beauty comes with its original sleeve.
