Nate King Pipe 436 Tan Blast Sphinx with Bamboo and Bakelite

It's not an easy thing for a craftsman to capture elegance, sophistication, uniqueness, functionality, and pay tribute to a shape defining legend all at once, but Nate has never been one to shy away from difficulty.  This jaunty and dramatically blasted pipe's shape comes from the Bo Nordh chart and is especially noteworthy because he could have chosen any one platitude and gone over the top.  Instead, we see the results of a well thought out symphony of themes and ideas, constructed to a single melody of design with harmonies of function.  The blue of the bakelite is a perfect balance to the tan blast and even lighter tones of yellow, sand, and gold in the 3 knuckles of bamboo while the chamber is just wide enough that any virginia tobacco connoisseur can have plenty of time to enjoy their favorite blend.
