Michail Kyriazanos Pipe 1/4 Bent Bamboo Acorn with Plateau

This stupendously grained bamboo acorn from Michail Kyriazanos has an underbent stem and a rippling of echoing theme throughout the piece.  The curve on the front of the stummel appears again and again, with the careful placement and match of the bamboo knuckles from the top of the bowl to the subtle crown on the stem mirroring the bottom.  The natural contrast in the grain is kissed with a patch of plateau well oriented on the rim.  Like much of Michail's work, light and easily managed regardless of smoking technique.
