Marek Kando Pipe Straight Dublin

This wide shanked dublin from Marek Kando is both pure and stylized in shape and proportion.  Simple in that there are only two materials here - stummel and stem.  Genius in that despite the scale, the entire piece is a theme of flow and motion.  The cross grain gives plenty of birdseye to both sides of the bowl, and the soft taper is extremely compelling to the eye.  Marek's work with other materials for adornment is nothing less than exceptional, but these simpler pieces are stunning.
