Hardcastle Walnut Billiard with Silver Estate Pipe Draft with Bowl Coat

Pipes are funny things. The trained eye can often detect strange similarities between seemingly unrelated brands. This large Hardcastle billiard shares a shape eerily similar to Charatans. Does this mean this pipe was produced after the Dunhill/Charatan merger? Perhaps. It is fun to speculate. The pipe itself is large without being imposing, and quite classic in it's restrained approach. Despite this conservatism, the pipe does have a genuine, factory, sterling silver band, and paired with the naturally contrasted chestnut stain, is the icing on the cake. While in excellent condition, this pipe was smoked hot a few times so we have added a sodium silicate bowl coat to protect the chamber. The walls are plenty thick, so rest easy.
