C. Martin Pipe by Chris Mattioda Sandblast Pot Sitter with Brass

Extremely thick in the walls, this sturdy and American-made pot sitter from Chris Mattioda has a distinct sandblast finish that manages to show off both a straight grain orientation and plenty of growth rings cascading down the side of the bowl.  The thick bowl itself only has about two degrees of cant giving this round shank smoker the straight A look of a clean and well executed shape.  The large brass ring at the end of the shank adds a degree of length to the eye's perception and the soft bevel of the round saddle is a very nice touch.  Dark and rich, this pot sitter has a chamber just wide enough to get all the flavors from a favorite English, Balkan, or even a Danish aromatic, though any blend will do well with this smooth and satisfying draw.
