Barling (Pre-Transition) EXEXEL 274 Apple Estate Pipe

Even by today's size standards, this older EXEXEL Barling estate pipe features a massive bowl and must have seemed gargantuan when originally produced.  The densely packed grain is oriented to the heel and rises straight up the front of the bowl while providing a large and consistent swath of birdseye framed on the back.  The thick walled chamber is cylindrical and the draft well place at the bottom.  There is some inner darkening and handling marks along the rim and the EXEXEL stamping is not as crisp as the other nomenclature, but this English saddled straight is still in outstanding condition with a thin and comfortable bite.
