If you sense a bit of a Becker-esque flair to this neo-classical interpretation of a Liverpool, you'd be correct. Italian carver Andrea Gigliucci earned his wings carving for the Foundation and Musico brand created by Paolo Becker. The influence is plain to see, with the sharp angular chin and bowl proportions. Andre has put his own spin on this one with a warm brass band and his trademark rustication that is reminiscent of a craggy sandblast. The patterning on the hand-cut brown brindle stem add to an already captivating composition.
