Painstakingly carved and no less impressive, masterfully shaped to accentuate the older canonized shape, Andrea has applied his trademark rustication technique to this proud and smooth rimmed bulldog. The reverse tapered diamond shank isn't new, but it is cleverly done here to balance out the dimension and detail of the double beaded bowl. Note the extra weight to the bottom of the diamond saddled stem and the downward slanted beads to compensate and parallel the shanks bottom curve. While lightweight and easily clenched, this beauty has a fair degree of visual heft.
