Sabina Santos Pipe Reverse Calabash Rhodesian with Plateau

Kissed at the rim and shank's end with some knowing plateau, this smooth rhodesian from Sabina Santos of Sabina Pipes is engineered with a reservoir inside the shank between the draft and stem.  Commonly known as the reverse calabash, it provides a sweeter and dryer smoke, and its inclusion on a piece this small is a testament to the dedication of its carver.  The fit on the wide tenon is incredibly snug and should perform well for decades of repeated use.  Also of note here is the angle of the stem, which is exaggerated in the pictures, but is a very practical choice for keeping an eye on the rim when lighting the pipe.
