Proving yet again, that not all smoking implements have to be dull, boring, and based on the classic lines of our forefathers, Aleksic elevates his hand made pieces to a more modern artesian aesthetic. This fully bent sitter is meant to be captivating to the enthusiast and even to those who have had the misfortune of never smoking a pipe. The hand cut acrylic stem has been thinned down at the bite point for an easy clench, despite the substantial weight. Its amazing how well that deep bend works when resting between the teeth. As for grain, the bottom of the plump part of the bowl features straight lines that wrap entirely around the stummel, and flare into a flame pattern as they reach the top portion of the rim. Never two alike, Aleksic's work is both unique and engaging, and although one may not articulate the very lines that make such an impressive piece, there is no doubt when the entirety of its design resonates when gazed upon.
