RC Sands Pipe 1/4 Bent Large Ring Blast Yachtsman with Plateau

This magnificent and mighty blast from Mr. Sands is a testament of truth to the statement that Chuck only uses the best wood he can get his hands on.  The ring blast on this specimen is jaw dropping.  Unenhanced by any cheating or pre-blast design, this is what good wood looks like when it is well oriented to the pipe and all those beautiful growth rings are revealed in deep crevice and crag.  The very thick walled chamber has a rim of plateau, and the finish has warm tones of burgundy, but this handful of a beast is about as masculine as a functional pipe can get, and functional doesn't even begin to describe how well an RC Sands pipe smokes.
