Details
We can't help it. Whenever confronted with the long and lean lines of the English canon's shapes our hearts beat a little faster and this well shaped dublin estate pipe from Hardcastle has them going a like a drum. Clean and deceptively simple, this round shanked, smooth, and tapered smoker from England does display a very dense cross-grain, though there are a few fills as well. The rim has been darkened with use and there are plenty of minor handling marks as well as a weakened nomenclature from over buffing. The conical chamber is slight in its taper and the draft hole is all the way at the bottom providing an excellent draw on this English smoker that may only weight just over an ounce, but will be heavy in the clench given its length.
